Services Provided: The Welfare Office at Ladies of Charity provides financial assistance for any residence of Davidson county on a past due utility bill (gas, electric or water) and provides rent assistance for those living in a MDHA or Urban Housing property. The Ladies of Charity helps fund the welfare office, distributes clothing, food, prescription medicines, funeral expenses.

Services Provided: Rental/mortgage/utility assistance to individuals and families in Davidson County prevent homelessness and provide hope. Utility assistance are available only to those in Section 8 or income based housing.

Requirements: Individual or family must: live in Davidson County, have a lease or mortgage in their name, experienced an unexpected financial hardship, be able to document that some form of regular income is coming into home (wages, social security income, disability income, child support, unemployment income, pension, retirement income, Families First), proof of income for anyone who is working in household.

Application Process: Application online, open Mondays at 8 a.m. until Wednesdays at 5 p.m.

Hours: For calls only: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (no walk ins)
