to essential resources, bridging the gap between those in need and the services that can change their lives.
Our Story
Coming together to empower Middle Tennessee
The first edition of the Where to Turn in Nashville resource guide was created in 2013 as a collaboration between Open Table Nashville and The Contributor along with other community partners and sponsors. Since then, we’ve produced 9 volumes of the guide and distributed more than 100,000 books across Nashville.
We see our printed guide as a “pocket sized phone book” of resources tailored to people experiencing homelessness or poverty. It is a starting place. A book you can open alone or with someone else to point you in the direction for fiding what you need.
We’ve expanded the printed guide to this online format to provide more information than we can fit into a pocket sized booklet, but our original goal remains the same: to provide accessible information to anyone who needs help in Middle Tennessee.
